TODO[fr]: OpenShopGraph is operated by a single person as an open-source project. Some shop and coupon links earn a small commission that helps cover hosting and operating costs. This page explains exactly when that happens and how we keep it transparent.
TODO[fr]: Our business model
TODO[fr]: OpenShopGraph publishes structured, citable data about online shops under CC-BY-4.0. The site stays accountless and ad-light. Where a shop offers a public affiliate program, an outbound link may carry an affiliate identifier. The commission, when paid, sustains the platform — it does not influence which shops are listed, how they are ranked, or which facts we display.
TODO[fr]: When commission can be earned
TODO[fr]: A commission may be earned when (a) you click an outbound link marked as an affiliate link, then (b) complete a qualifying purchase at the destination shop within their program window. Many of our links are non-affiliate — for example, every Impressum, Handelsregister and GitHub link. Coupon codes generally do not earn commission unless the program explicitly attributes them.
TODO[fr]: Neutral data — no pay-to-rank
TODO[fr]: We do not rank shops by commission rate. We do not recommend shops in the editorial sense. We publish neutral, source-tagged data points and let you decide. If you find any evidence that commercial relationships influence what we publish, please open an issue on GitHub — we will fix it.
TODO[fr]: FTC compliance (United States)
TODO[fr]: Per 16 CFR Part 255 ("Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising") we clearly and conspicuously disclose any material connection. The persistent footer notice, the inline icon on affiliate links and this full disclosure page together satisfy the FTC.gov clear-and-conspicuous standard.
TODO[fr]: UWG compliance (Germany / EU)
TODO[fr]: Nach § 5a Abs. 4 UWG ist der kommerzielle Zweck einer Handlung kenntlich zu machen; nach § 6 Abs. 1 Nr. 1 UWG müssen Werbevergleiche neutral sein. Wir kennzeichnen Affiliate-Links sichtbar (Footer-Hinweis, Inline-Icon, diese Volltextseite) und führen keine Rangfolge auf Provisionsbasis. Diese Seite gilt als ausreichende Kenntlichmachung im Sinne der UWG-Rechtsprechung.
TODO[fr]: GDPR / DSGVO compliance
TODO[fr]: We do not set tracking cookies for affiliate attribution. Attribution happens server-side: the outbound URL carries a non-personal SubID that the destination shop logs as part of their own program — we never read or store browser identifiers for advertising purposes.
